We visited the cafe two days in a row, during our stay in Porto, for breakfast, and I must say that it’s literally a hidden gem. The food and coffee was delicious, and the owner is the sweetest and kindest person, who, after chatting for some time, also showed us photos from Porto in the 50s, and the prices were very good. Although it’s a small cafe, you surely get the whole Portuguese experience and we’re looking forward visiting again!
This is the best place for an excellent breakfast! Try their croissant and tomato toast — they’re absolutely delicious. The person who runs the place is one of the kindest people you’ll ever meet. Don’t miss this spot — you won’t experience anything like it anywhere else!
A cute and authentic little coffee shop that truly stole our hearts. The sandwiches, coffee, and fresh juice were all absolutely delicious — simple, fresh, and full of flavor. But the real highlight was the owner: so kind, warm, and always smiling. He made us feel genuinely welcome, like we were at home. We loved every moment here and highly recommend it to anyone wanting to enjoy the simplicity and deliciousness of a true Portuguese breakfast, made even better by the friendliness of the host!
Was met with the warmest welcome here! My flight landed at 7am and this was the only place that seemed open. I'm so glad I came. From the minute I entered I was greeted by the nicest gentleman I've ever met! He was so friendly and spoke in english to me the whole time. The pastel de nata was also perfect. You must come here, it's a huge hit with the locals too. I paid only 4.90€ for a latte, pastel de nata and ham and cheese pastry.
Best local café — a simple Portuguese bakery. They’ll warm everything up for you. You must try the coffee or espresso. Very kid-friendly place — they even gave chocolates to the kids (and to my wife and me as well!). Thank you!
It’a hidden spot in the city to experience original Portugese coffee. The owner is very hospitable. The nata was warm and for my coffee he made foam and brought cinnamon and cocoa. If you want a REAL Portugese cafe away from tourist traps this is your spot.
The service was remarkably great! The pastéis de nata were delicious. The owner was very kind and friendly, asking if I need cinnamon and napkins. It really made my day by receiving his candy as small gifts. The restaurant also sells snacks, soft drink, and other pastries. It is also close to the commercial center, which is convenient for visitors who want to enjoy the local food.
A lovely little street-side eatery run mainly by two elderly owners. I really enjoyed the slightly old-fashioned atmosphere—it feels cozy and relaxed. The food was tasty and great value for money.
